Chapter 7
The Tournament Begins



       Giatsu and Kakashi were still sleeping the next day when Tai came and woke them up. “Guys you have to come outside and see this it’s amazing” Giatsu and Kakashi awoke to Tai yelling just that and so they dragged themselves outside to find a gigantic sign welcoming all to join the Tournament to decide the new Hokage for the Fire Village. As the sign read the tournament was to begin today. Giatsu smiled finally a chance to prove himself against some powerful opponents. Kakashi looked at Giatsu and said to him.
           “I’m already guessing you intend to enter, Giatsu?” Kakashi looked at Giatsu who smiled at him and said.
           “Oh yeah” Giatsu smiled and started looking for the registration booth to enter the tournament. As they did so Kakashi pulled Tai aside and said to him.
           “Only Giatsu is entering All right Tai” Kakashi looked at Tai who nodded in agreement.
           “What are we gonna do in the meantime?” Tai asked hopefully looking back at the tournament sign.
            “We’re going to be looking for information on the Black Spider Clan” Kakashi smiled and hollered to Giatsu (Who was halfway down the street) “GIATSU GO ON AHEAD WE’LL CATCH UP” Giatsu turned and waved before taking off towards the registration booth. Kakashi and Tai then started going from person to person asking them if they had ever heard anything of the Black Spider Clan. The only lead they got which ended up being a false lead was when a lady wanted someone to get rid of a spider that was near her. An hour later Kakashi, and Tai were bored of asking around and getting absolutely nowhere. That was when they heard a group of people talking about them in an alley just around the corner they were pretty loud, Kakashi and Tai rushed to see them and get the information they desperately needed. As they came around the corner the people they had heard were gone. Kakashi scratched his chin and said. “That’s odd” Kakashi looked back at Tai who replied.
              “Really odd” Tai turned around and looked up he saw a large building and looked back at Kakashi, “We should go in there and check” Kakashi looked confused.
              “Why, what makes you think that were gonna find a clue in there?” Kakashi looked at the building and on the side of it in huge black letters said BSC Which could possibly stand for Black Spider Clan so Kakashi and Tai rushed inside.

Meanwhile…

Giatsu approached the registration booth with his trusty Zan-batou still on his back, the man looked at him kinda funny before asking.
              
               “Name, Age, and Village of origin please” The man had a pen in hand and was prepared to write down anything Giatsu said.
                “Giatsu Kentarami, 23 years old, and I was born and raised in the Sand Village” Giatsu smiled knowing that the man had absolutely no idea where he was really from. But since the sand village was where Giatsu had grown up he decided to use that since he hadn’t actually been at his real home in the other dimension with Yusuke his father and Keiko his mother. The man finished writing things down and said to Giatsu.
               “Will you be using your Sword there during the tournament, just so you know any and all weapons are allowed” The man spoke with a sort of giggle in his voice that Giatsu could just barely detect.
                “More or less” Giatsu replied cheerfully the man jotted something on his notepad but Giatsu couldn’t tell what it was.
                “Excellent the tournament begins in an hour and you got lucky because registration just closed” the man flipped the open sign to closed and picked up all his stuff and walked into the door behind him. Giatsu smiled and looked down; on the table were directions to the stadium where the tournament was being held. Giatsu picked it up and slipped it in his pocket he then raced off to the stadium to await the beginning of the Tournament.


Genshin swung his blade at Gaara one more time before getting slammed into the wall by Gaara’s sand barrier. As they had been battling for quite a while Genshin thought to himself.
           ~I Will have no other choice but to sever the bonds that hold me to my wretched human past~ as Genshin thought this Gaara used his Sand to jettison himself straight into Genshin’s gut throwing him through yet another wall. As Gaara landed he was breathing heavily and Genshin stood up again except he too was breathing awful badly. ~I have no other choice~ Genshin smiled and began to laugh. Gaara was puzzled so he did the same thing that anyone else would ask.
              “Whats so funny?” Gaara asked raising a fist in protest.
              “Heh you are about to lose this fight PREPARE HUMAN FOR THE ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION THAT IS ABOUT TO COME YOUR WAY” Genshin clenched his fists and his entire body began to glow a black color Genshin smiled as his entire face was covered with a spiky armor substance. Large spikes came out of his shoulders and his muscles bulged large then before Gaara actually took a step back fearing Genshin’s new power but he soon gained back his resolve so he stepped forward and using his power of sand buried Genshin in heavy sand. As Gaara fell to his knees he saw the sand being blown away then a loud roar not human more like that of a demon. Genshin blasted through the sand and socked Gaara straight in the gut he then pushed back and slammed his leg into his side throwing him into a wall. Genshin smiled and stood up straight his body was twice the size it was before and this time far more hideous and powerful. Genshin’s voice had grown darker, and far more evil then before. It was the voice of a powerful demon. “So Gaara do you still wish to continue this pointless fight, knowing now that you are going to die” Genshin laughed and started walking towards Gaara who had managed to stand up.
                 “You have destroyed my village, injured my family YOU WILL PAY” Gaara’s body was surrounded by sand “ARMOR OF SAND” the sand took shape around his head arms chest and legs and Gaara’s body got bigger as well then the two attacked each other. Gaara swung his leg at Genshin who caught it and broke it off but Gaara formed another using the sand (all Genshin broke off was sand) and Gaara clobbered him in the face with his right fist which threw him straight into a wall. Genshin kicked off the wall and threw a punch at Gaara who caught his fist Genshin threw his other fist at him and Gaara caught it they interlocked there hands and began pushing back as hard as they could against one another. As they struggled the entire building they were in began to crumble around them. Debris began falling just as Gaara drew Genshin towards him and with a swift powerful kick smashed Genshin in the stomach throwing him through the debris and into the air. After regaining balance Genshin saw Gaara catapult himself straight up towards him Genshin braced himself as Gaara plowed straight into him throwing him back a lot less then intended Genshin then raised his left arm and slammed it straight into Gaara’s neck the force of which threw Gaara into the ground. Genshin landed and spoke again this time with much anger in his voice.
                 “Gaara of the sand WHY WON’T YOU DIE?” Genshin then burst towards him again this time with the intent on utterly decimating him. Gaara braced himself for the fact that the fight was not quite over yet.

Yusuke approached the pedestal he had enshrined to both his mother and father Raizen in his house and he knelt down in front of it as he did he said.
                  “Mother, Father I know it’s been a while since I last talked to you but I need to let you guys know that your grandson Giatsu is doing very well, he has grown extremely strong, funny thing is he’s every bit as strong as me now and he’s only 23 years old far stronger then I was at his age” Yusuke had his hands cupped as he spoke his eyes closed Raizen his father and his Mother were both standing there with him due to Botan’s help he was able to talk to them every now and then. Raizen looked at his son with a sad look upon his face.
                     “Yusuke you need to understand something, Giatsu may be a powerful warrior but he will soon meet his end” Raizen turned and looked out the window just as Yusuke said.
                     “How is he going to die father, can you at least tell me that?” Yusuke asked his eyes now open and looking intently at his father.
                     “He will die in the place of someone he loves” Yusuke’s mother chimed in.
                     “Wait you don’t mean Ami do you?” Yusuke asked now desperately wanting to figure out a resolution to his son’s death, (if you will note: Yusuke wants to save Giatsu from dying because he hasn’t had the chance to spar with his son yet)
                     “Yusuke you know that hands of fate work their ways just as they did with me, I need not remind you of how I died” Raizen looked straight at him.
                     “No you don’t need to remind me dad it’s fine” Yusuke stood up “I need to head back to Konoha I need to at least be able to see him again before he dies” Yusuke turned and said to his parents. “I love you guys and I’ll see you later” Yusuke walked out of the room and headed for the spirit taxi that would take him back to Konoha.


Giatsu approached the stadium just as the gates began to close indicating the tournament was about to begin, Giatsu bolted forward and barely made it inside before the door shut. Breathing heavily he sighed and walked forward he came to a large group of about 50 contestants including himself. Giatsu smiled seeing fighters of different variations, size, and orientation. Giatsu kept it to himself but he was very Giddy about the tournament. As the fighters gathered in the center of the stadium some talking other keeping to themselves, the tournament announcer stepped up to the podium on the stage in front of them. He spoke into the mike saying.

                      “WELCOME FIGHTERS FROM ALL AROUND, TODAY IS THE DAY WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR TODAY IS THE TOURNAMENT WHICH WILL DECIDE THE NEWEST FIRE HOKAGE FOR THE FIRE VILLAGE” The announcer nearly ran out of breath at the end of his opening statement, which made Giatsu laugh a bit. The announcer then pulled up a large cart that had a huge circular object on it; it looked like the power ball lottery the announcer then began to pull out small white balls from it and began reading off names for the first round. “Before I read the first name I should say one thing this tournament due to there being 50 contestants we shall divide up into groups of 10 so there will be 5 divisions a, b, c, d, e. now that that’s out of the way I shall read the first ten names for the A division” The announcer pulled ten balls from the tank and read off the names. “In the A division we have, Hero, Geruda, Akuma, Goji, Ryuga, Chu, Diamond, Torga, Karetsu, and last but not least Giatsu” as the announcer read off Giatsu’s name he was kinda shocked because he didn’t anticipate that his name would be in the first ten. After having heard his name Giatsu ignored who was in the other 4 divisions. As he stood there awaiting the first match he thought to himself.
                        ~Now I get to really show them what I can do~ Giatsu stood with the other A division members and as he stood there the Announcer approached them and read off the match-ups.
                         “In the first match it shall be Goji and Chu, in match 2 we have Geruda facing Giatsu, match 3 will be Hero and Akuma, then Diamond and Torga, and last but not least Karetsu and Ryuga” The announcer then announced the matches to the crowd following the first match of the A division in which Goji faced off against Chu and the victor ended up being Chu by way of brutal beating, then came Giatsu’s match against Geruda. As Giatsu stepped up to the ring the rules were read to him and he smiled saying.
                         “It’s a good thing there isn’t a ring out or I would have a hard time winning this thing” Giatsu leapt into the arena as the other contestants (aside from other Divisions already battling) Giatsu smiled and bowed to his opponent the tall strong willed Geruda as he stepped into the ring he removed his cloak he wore and revealed a man with a large build, on his back were a large pair of wings his head was that of an eagle, he wore a Blue Gi with a pair of blue shoes. His arms had eagle feathers all over them and the look in his eyes was that of utter hatred. Giatsu smiled and took his stance Geruda did the same and the announcer banged the gong and the match began Giatsu bolted forward and threw a straight right jab at him but Geruda out of instinct leapt forward at the last second and with a swift left kick bashed Giatsu in the face knocking him back Geruda then before landing extended his wings and socked Giatsu straight in the face throwing him into the ground as Giatsu regained his ability to stand Geruda spoke.
                           “You’re a fool Giatsu” Geruda’s voice was deep and dark
                           “Why do you say that big bird?” Giatsu reached for his Zan-batou on his back and as he drew it Geruda flew into the air and using both arms grabbed onto his arms and using the feathers molded them into twin swords as he drew them he flew down towards Giatsu who using his Zan-batou as leverage catapulted himself straight towards Geruda as they collided in mid air Giatsu swung his Zan-batou full force Geruda countered and a blinding flash of light caught everyone in the audience off guard as the light cleared Giatsu and Geruda stood on opposite ends of where they were before. Giatsu stood there a moment before his left arm burst out with blood Giatsu grabbed hold of it and fell down on one knee Geruda turned towards him and chuckled.
                            “You’re a fool because you have no chance against me anyone who fights against Geruda will perish” Geruda then began to charge his energy the white feathers on his body changed from white to a dark blood red. Geruda’s eyes changed from red to black and his wings grew large and black. “Now die Giatsu” Geruda then knelt down and took flight into the air he then nose dived straight towards Giatsu.
                            “Oh shit”
